Using Google. Checking LinkedIn. Looking at someone’s public Instagram, TikTok, or business page.
That’s not stalking.
That’s having access to public information and knowing how to utilize your resources.

The Internet Is Literally Built for This
If you put your name, job, location, photos, opinions, and life updates online — it’s not “creepy” when someone sees them.
That’s the entire point of public profiles.
People love to joke about “FBI-level stalking,” but in reality, most of it is just basic research. The internet is designed for people to find information — choosing to use it doesn’t make you weird.
Basic Research Isn’t Creepy
Let’s call it what it actually is:
- Paying attention
- Pattern recognition
- Connecting dots
- Not ignoring obvious information
In today’s world, not doing a little digging is honestly more reckless than anything. Context matters — and information is everywhere.
Being Smart Isn’t a Red Flag
Somehow, being observant, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented gets framed as a personality flaw — especially for women.
But let’s be real:
- Knowing how to find information doesn’t make you crazy.
- Asking questions doesn’t make you dramatic.
- Wanting context doesn’t make you obsessive.
It makes you informed.
And if someone feels uncomfortable with how much you can find out about them… maybe they should rethink what they’re putting online.
This Applies to Dating, Too
When it comes to dating, doing a quick vibe check isn’t paranoia — it’s self-respect.
- I’m not trying to “catch” anyone.
- I’m trying to make sure I’m not ignoring obvious red flags.
If something feels off, I trust that instinct — and yes, I’ll verify it if I need to. Awareness saves time.
What I’m Wearing in the Video
In the embedded video for this post, I’m using one of my go-to setting sprays — the Makeup by Mario Setting Spray.
It keeps makeup locked in, skin looking fresh, and gives that smooth, finished look without feeling heavy or sticky.
Because yes – being unbothered, informed, and glowing can all happen at the same time.
Final Thoughts
- Being resourceful isn’t sneaky.
- Being curious isn’t unhinged.
- And knowing how to navigate the internet is a skill — not a flaw.
So no, I’m not “stalking.”
I’m just really smart and tech-savvy.
Until next time…
xoxo,
Jenna
