So… I pierced my own ears.
No appointment. No mall kiosk. Just vibes, confidence, and an ear-piercing kit from Amazon.
YOLO, right? 😂

Before anyone panics — this wasn’t reckless chaos. This was a very calculated, very me decision after realizing I wanted new piercings and didn’t feel like waiting or paying someone else to do it.

Why I Decided to DIY My Ear Piercing
If you’ve ever:
- Randomly wanted a new piercing at night
- Gotten annoyed by appointment scheduling
- Thought “I could totally do this myself”
…then you already understand the mindset.
I wanted simple lobe piercings, nothing dramatic, and I wanted them now. So I grabbed a full ear-piercing kit and went for it.
What I Used
I used a full ear-piercing kit that includes sterile, single-use piercing tools designed specifically for lobes.
This part matters.
If you’re going to DIY something like this, you need the right tools — not a needle and hope.
You can find the exact kit I used here: Ear piercing full kit
Was It Scary?
I’m not going to lie — the anticipation is worse than the actual piercing.
Once you commit, it’s quick. Clean. Minimal discomfort. And suddenly you’re standing there like… wait, that was it?
Immediate confidence boost.

Aftercare Is Non-Negotiable
If you’re even thinking about doing this yourself, aftercare matters just as much as the piercing itself.
A few basics:
- Keep the area clean
- Don’t touch it unnecessarily
- Avoid swapping jewelry too soon
- Let your ears fully heal before getting cute with styling
This isn’t medical advice — just common sense.
Should Everyone Pierce Their Own Ears?
No. But should confident, responsible, impulsive-but-prepared girls feel empowered to do things for themselves?
Absolutely.
Sometimes it’s not about saving money or time — it’s about trusting yourself.
Final Thoughts
Was this a little chaotic? Yes.
Was it funny? Definitely.
Do I love how they turned out? 100%.
So if you’re sitting there debating it… just do it.
You know you want to.
Until next time…
xoxo,
Jenna
